Solis Marine Joins the Adventure Race Japan 2025 to Support The Mission to Seafarers

We are thrilled to announce that Solis Marine will be participating in the Adventure Race Japan 2025, an exciting and challenging event organised by The Mission to Seafarers. The race will take place from 15 to 18 May and our team is gearing up to take on the physical and mental challenge while supporting a cause close to our hearts.

Team Solis Marine

Our team consists of Andrew Ling, Liew Jun Hao and Shann Khong from the Solis Marine Singapore office.

They will be participating in the Green Dragon Race, a thrilling challenge set in the stunning Izu Peninsula. The race will push them physically, beginning with a 9.25km hike on Day 1, which will take them through rugged terrain and demanding elevation changes.

Day 2 will feature a Rogaining Challenge, which will further test their navigation skills and teamwork.

In addition to these physical challenges, we have also set a fundraising goal of US$5,000 to support the essential work of The Mission to Seafarers.

Naval architect, Jun Hao, said "I feel privileged and excited to take part in this race for such a meaningful cause. The training and the hike itself will be a challenge for me, but I know the journey will be just as rewarding as the finish. Supporting seafarers who keep the world's trade moving makes every step worth it."

About The Mission to Seafarers

Through their network of chaplains, staff, and volunteers, MtS provides practical, emotional, and spiritual care to seafarers, who work in very dangerous situations, experiencing isolation, fatigue, mental and physical health issues, the risk of abandonment, shipwreck, and piracy. Their services include ship visits, drop-in centres, and emergency support, all aimed at making a difference in the lives of seafarers across the world. The Adventure Race Japan 2025

The Mission to Seafarers created Adventure Race Japan as a bespoke event in 2023,with resounding success. For ARJ 2025 they have doubled the size of the event, with 100 teams now registered to take part. MtS have designed this race to offer a way for the international shipping community to support the seafarers who keep our global economy afloat. Funds raised will enable the expansion of their vital frontline welfare services to global seafarers. They hope to increase awareness and funds for their work as an international maritime charity, and one of the largest providers of seafarer welfare support worldwide and across the APAC region.
