Jamie joins directly from sea where he brings with him over 10 years’ of command experience on passenger/cargo liners trading world-wide and ROPAX ferries operating in the Dover Straits and Irish Sea. He has extensive experience of ship handling, including having held various pilotage exemptions, and of passage planning and navigating with ECDIS (various manufacturers) and integrated bridge systems.
Jamie was also previously employed as a marine consultant based in the Middle East for four years where he carried out instructions on various matters and attended salvage and wreck removal operations.
Additional experience as a deck officer was gained on traditional geared general cargo vessels, geared container vessels and cruise ships, all trading worldwide. As well as gaining ice navigation experience in the Baltic on RoRo paper product carriers.
