Solis Marine adds to Ports and Harbours team
Mark Ball becomes Consultant Maritime Civil Engineer in agreement with Integra Technical Services
Solis Marine Consultants are pleased to announce that they have added additional skills and expertise to their Ports and Harbours team after entering into an agreement with Integra Technical Services for the services of Mark Ball. Mark will provide his services to Solis Marine on a consultancy basis.
Mark is a Maritime Civil Engineer with nearly 20 years’ experience within the marine consultancy sector providing expert advice and support to P&I Clubs, law firms, shipowners and ship managers, insurers and ports and terminal owners and operators.
Mark’s key areas of expertise include inspection of damages to marine structures and advice on causation and methods of repair, unsafe berth claims, seabed remediation following vessel groundings and review of loss of business claims. He has prepared expert reports in respect of unsafe ports and berths for High Court and Arbitration proceedings and given expert evidence in the High Court in London, the Appeal Court in Bergen, and High Court in Cape Town.
Solis Marine has many years of experience relating to global ports and harbours including operations, infrastructure and unsafe port/berth claims.
Mark’s skills and experience complement those of the existing members of Solis Marine’s team which includes Master Mariners, Naval Architects, Marine Engineers and a Fire and Chemicals Specialist. Our specialists provide expertise in structural engineering, vessel command, pilotage, the Harbour Master and all aspects of vessel and port management.
