Shipping Strategy Ltd joins Solis Marine Consultants Alliance network
Shipping Strategy Ltd has joined Solis Marine Consultant’s Alliance of partners established to enhance the Group’s global reach and range of expert marine consultancy services.
While the two businesses will remain independent, by bringing Shipping Strategy into the Alliance Network, Solis Marine will be able to offer clients a one-stop shop for technical and financial/strategic consultancy services where a particular project requires both.
The combined skillsets will be beneficial to technical due diligence clients and those looking for expert support to both the technical and the strategic considerations of an investment.
Solis Marine’s team of master mariners, naval architects and marine engineers will lead on the delivery of all technical aspects to a case or project, with Shipping Strategy providing commercial and analytical deliverables.
Solis Marine currently operates out of a network of offices located in London, Falmouth, Rotterdam, Singapore, Shanghai and Qingdao.
Shipping Strategy Ltd is a boutique advisory firm providing shipping trends analysis, shipping finance consultancy and market commentary. Its associates work from the UK and the EU.
Solis Marine Consultants chairman Nigel Clark said: “Shipping Strategy will make available to the Group and to our clients expertise in the areas of shipping finance, shipping trends analysis, strategic planning and market commentary. We will potentially call on these skillsets to support various activities within the Group, but most especially to complement our technical due diligence offering to owners and investors. Going forward, clients will be able to engage Solis Marine for their technical requirements and Shipping Strategy for any strategic advice or analysis.”
Shipping Strategy founder and managing director Mark Williams is a well-known analyst and consultant within the shipping and energy sectors having previously held senior research roles within HSBC, Braemar Shipping and Affinity Shipbrokers.
Mark Williams said: “We have had a close association with Solis Marine for several years and we have seen the benefit to clients of an organisation like Shipping Strategy working closely with a technical consultancy. This alliance brings together our commercial knowledge and Solis Marine’s technical expertise.”
The Alliance also includes Myrcator Marine & Cargo Solutions FZE in the Middle East.
