Chris Gascoigne joins Solis Marine Consultants as Head of Marine Engineering Services

Chris Gascoigne has joined Solis Marine Consultants in the newly created role of Head of Marine Engineering Services with a remit to develop the company’s existing global expert consultancy, surveying and marine engineering practice.

An experienced chartered engineer, Chris entered marine consultancy in 2008 having held various other positions at sea, up to chief engineer, and ashore. His surveying and consultancy experience includes investigating machinery failures and damages, bunker disputes, crane incidents, fire and pollution.

Chris has attended mediation and given expert evidence at arbitration and in court. He joined Solis Marine on Monday, July 5 and will be based out of the London office.

Solis Marine Senior Partner Captain John Simpson said: “Chris brings additional experience and complements our core incident response and investigations team working alongside our naval architects and mariners. He will lead the expansion of our marine engineering consultancy globally, with a focus on legal, expert and casualty work.”
